Our Irish Women exhibition is currently travelling to various locations throughout Galway and Mayo thanks to the National Museum of Ireland, Museum of Country Life, Castlebar. The exhibition showcases the vital contribution of women in our communities. After a very successful launch at the museum, the exhibition will now travel to all the groups who contributed, and will be showcased throughout the year.
Woodlawn Contribution
Woodlawn Heritage Group focused on May Cregg, who ran a small cafe at Woodlawn Station. If there is some-one you would like to highlight on our website please do not hesitate in contacting us.
End of an era
Woodlawn Heritage Group held a social evening on Saturday 26th January, 8pm in Ballymacward Hall where the exhibition was on show. This coincided with the end of an era in the closure of Woodlawn and New Inn post offices.
