Welcome to our Wildlife section. We hope to describe the flora and fauna associated with each habitat type in the area. For example the different tree species in Woodlawn Wood, with some of the common plants, birds, mammals, butterflies and other invertebrates. As the website develops your contributions of pictures and nature sitings shall also be added.

The main habitat types in Woodlawn are forestry, farmland and peatlands (bogs). While you are out walking take a quick picture of a flower/ grass/ butterfly/frog and send it to us. Tell us where and when you spotted it and we shall do the rest!!
