Faux Tower

Faux Tower
Anne Carey 2016

This is a plain, circular tower dating to 1850s, which gives the impression of a ruin. It is believed there was never actually a roof. It sits alongside the estate wall and directly north of the gate and faux tower house, known locally as Grocock’s Castle. The tower and sections of the estate wall were repointed by FÁS in early 21st Century.
